Aviva Abraham did a presentation at the June meeting called ‘Risky Business – Protecting Your Clients, Their Business and Their Cash (Before They Get Into Trouble).’ Aviva is a former CPA who became an insurance specialist. She provides individuals and small businesses with everything from group insurance to life insurance and disability protection.

The overall theme of her presentation was that insurance is the most tax-effective way to protect your family and your assets, and to maximize your wealth. She cited several case studies, including the example of her own mother-in-law who passed away from cancer at age 54, leaving the family and family business in debt.

Aviva also presented two other case studies, one involving a client who suffered an accident and with Aviva’s help received full disability coverage and business protection; the other about a client for whom she saved thousands of dollars in group benefit premiums.
