Member Presentation – Andy Sherwood
Andy Sherwood runs Priority Management, an Ottawa-based training company with offices worldwide, but he focuses on southwest Ontario. On October 22 he did a presentation about the features and benefits of “time and priority management,” based on his course on how to use Outlook. The full-day course is a hands-on workshop that unlocks seldom-used features of Outlook to enhance productivity. Andy says the most important feature is the To Do bar with its extensive use of Tasks. Other critical features are how to convert emails into tasks, how to use the Contact link to Tasks as a CRM, and how to prioritize.
The benefits are an hour-a-day increase in productivity, better priorities, no missed follow-ups, leading to better quality of work, and less stress and worry. Andy says knowledge workers can make better use of their time, and in all business, all levels of government, and organizations ranging from churches, charities, hospitals and universities to school boards and sports teams.
